University Village is an on-campus apartment complex consisting of 58 residential garden-style buildings. Over the past several years, structural deficiencies have been identified in the original construction of numerous balconies throughout the complex. This project involves the structural rebuild of multiple balconies located on the second and third floors of the existing wood-framed apartment buildings within University Village phase 5, specifically Buildings 38, 39, 40, and 41. The University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the structural repair and rehabilitation of balconies at University Village. The selected contractor will be responsible for delivering all components as detailed in the construction documents, while ensuring full compliance with all specified technical standards and safety regulations.
