Last Updated: January 11, 2026

♿ Zabalist is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Our Commitment

Smart Austin LLC d/b/a Moon Sherpa Labs ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to making the Zabalist website accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We aim to comply with all applicable standards, including:

  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
  • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following accessibility features:

Navigation & Structure

  • Consistent navigation throughout the site
  • Logical heading hierarchy (H1, H2, H3, etc.)
  • Skip-to-content links for keyboard users
  • Breadcrumb navigation where applicable
  • Descriptive page titles

Visual Design

  • Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
  • Scalable text that responds to browser zoom settings
  • No content that flashes more than 3 times per second
  • Visual focus indicators for interactive elements
  • Information is not conveyed by color alone

Interactive Elements

  • All functionality available via keyboard
  • Form labels and error messages
  • Descriptive link text (avoiding "click here")
  • ARIA labels for complex components
  • Sufficient touch target sizes for mobile users

Content

  • Alternative text for meaningful images
  • Captions for video content (where applicable)
  • Plain language principles for clarity
  • Data tables with proper headers

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our website is designed to be compatible with:

  • Screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Screen magnification software
  • Voice recognition software (Dragon NaturallySpeaking)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Switch access devices

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some areas of our website may have accessibility limitations:

  • Interactive Maps: Our map components use Leaflet.js. While we provide alternative text and keyboard navigation where possible, some map interactions may be challenging with screen readers. We provide tabular data alternatives for key information.
  • Third-Party Content: Some embedded content from third parties (e.g., payment processors) may not meet our accessibility standards. We work with vendors to improve this.
  • PDF Documents: Some older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. Contact us for alternative formats.
  • Complex Data Tables: Some tables with many columns may require horizontal scrolling on smaller screens.

Ongoing Efforts

We are continuously working to improve accessibility:

  • Regular automated accessibility testing with tools like axe-core
  • Manual testing with keyboard and screen readers
  • Training for our development team on accessibility best practices
  • Incorporating accessibility into our design and development process
  • Reviewing and updating content for accessibility compliance

Request Accommodations

If you need assistance or require an accommodation to use our website, we are here to help. We can provide:

  • Alternative formats (large print, audio, plain text)
  • Phone assistance to complete tasks
  • Description of visual content
  • Other reasonable accommodations
