A well in Reeves County is actively leaking produced water from the casing into a lined pit. The flow rate cannot be determined, and the flow is running over towards a draw and pipeline. Chlorides tested 156,637 ppm. The operator was contacted and stated they will not be fixing the well. Requesting emergency PA funds to contain and haul fluids until well can be plugged. The District office in Midland contacted five (5) vendors that could provide the services and selected the vendor that could respond immediately and was the best value for the State of Texas.
