An unidentified well in Stephens County is actively leaking gas into the atmosphere
from the tubing that is cemented in the 7-inch casing. The well was determined to be previously plugged.
Requesting emergency funds to plug the leaking well. PA funds in the amount of $4,000.00 were requested on
January 25, 2024, to excavate and haul/dispose of fluids until a vendor could be located to plug the well. The District office in Abilene contacted the vendor that could provide the services
and selected the vendor that could respond immediately and was the best value for the State of Texas.
