Two orphan wells in Pecos County are actively leaking produced water. The affected areas measure approximately 12 feet by 4 feet and 4 feet by 4 feet. Chlorides tested 53,333 ppm. Requesting emergency PA funds to have a contractor remove the flowline and replace the packing on Well No. 2 and repack the wellhead at Well No. 3. Orphaned wells are inactive, non-compliant wells that have been inactive a minimum of 12 months and the responsible operator's Organizational Report (Form P-5) has been delinquent for greater than 12 months.
