An orphan well in Reeves County is actively leaking produced water to the surface from the stuffing box. The affected area measures approximately 2,200 feet by 40 feet and chlorides tested at 59,259 ppm. Requesting emergency PA funds to have a roustabout crew attempt to repair the stuffing box, and contain and haul fluids. The district office in Midland contacted three (3) vendors that could provide the services and selected the vendor that could respond immediately and was the best value for the State of Texas.
