An unidentified well in Midland County is actively leaking produced water to the surface. The affected area measures approximately 600 feet by 800 feet and there is H2S present. The flow rate is unknown Chlorides tested 41,482 ppm. Requesting additional emergency funds to continue to contain/haul fluids and excavate to locate well until the State Managed Plugging vendor can rig up on the well. Original funds in the amount of $300,000.00 were requested on 01/09/2026.
