Three orphan wells in Scurry County are actively leaking produced water to the surface. The wells are located within 100 feet of the Colorado River and Bull Creek. The affected area measures approximately 20 feet by 20 feet and the flow rate is 0.5 bbl/hr. Requesting emergency funds to plug all three wells. The Lubbock District office in three contacted three (3) vendors that could provide the services and selected the vendor that could respond immediately and was the best value for the State of Texas.
