Three leaking wells in Howard County are actively leaking hydrocarbons. The affected areas measure approximately 20 feet by 4 feet, 50 feet by 30 feet, and 15 feet by 10 feet. There are also cattle present in the area. The operator has failed to respond to cleanup activities and multiple correspondence from the Commission. Notification was originally sent to the operator on March 07, 2024. Requesting emergency funds to haul fluids and have a crew fix valves on all three wells to stop the leaks. The District office in Midland contacted three (3) vendors that could provide the services and selected the vendor that could respond immediately and was the best value for the State of Texas.
