Project Description: Texas State University (“University”), in its designation as an emerging research

university, seeks Texas licensed architect firms with expertise in general Architecture services. This

solicitation may result in an annual contract for Architect Services on new building construction, major

renovations, infrastructure, and other miscellaneous projects, on an as-needed basis. Services associated

with this solicitation are not for a specific project or series of projects. It is anticipated that a contract will

be issued to one or more qualified Architect firms.

Selected firms will be contracted to enter into an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (“IDIQ”) contract

with the University for services on capital improvement, renovation, facility upgrades, and other

infrastructure projects as needed. The contract will be known as an IDIQ contract, because the scope,

number of projects, and tasks will be unknown at the time of contract execution. Firms may be assigned

various projects as they may arise, based on the nature of the services required and the resources of the

firm. Projects awarded under the IDIQ contract are most typically those with a short duration, as well as

those with expedited completion dates. The term of the IDIQ contract(s) awarded will extend through

approximately August 31, 2026, with the possibility of three (3), one-year renewal periods. Once a project

specific agreement has been awarded, the contract will continue until the project has been completed,

regardless of project duration.
