Texas Government Code § 442.051(the "Act"), The National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas (the "Museum") is under the jurisdiction of the THC; WHEREAS, pursuant to House Bill 1 88(R) Rider 28 ($500,000 per year) for Fiscal Years 2024-25, upon request, will be transferred to the Museum after the start of each fiscal year. THC has received this appropriation for the support of General Operations, Repairs, and Improvements at the Museum in the amount of $1,000,000; WHEREAS, the Museum is a facility owned by the THC and operated by the ANF;
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Texas Government Code§ 442.054(d), THC is authorized to enter into an agreement for the development and stewardship of the Museum and WHEREAS, THC and ANF desire to set forth their respective expectations, rights, responsibilities, and obligations with respect to the expenditure of funds as stated above for general operations, repairs, and improvements at the Museum.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Texas Government Code§ Sec. 442.051. MUSEUM DEFINITION; JURISDICTION.
(a) In this subchapter, "museum" means the National Museum of the Pacific War. (b) The museum is under the jurisdiction of the commission. Re-designated from Parks and Wildlife Code, Subchapter Q, Chapter 22 and amended by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 1259 (H.B. 2025), Sec. 3, eff. June 18, 2005.
