The Health and Human Services Commission, for and on behalf of its Health and Specialty Care System Division, is soliciting Competitive Sealed Proposals for selection of a General Contractor to provide general construction and construction administration services to the Owner for Project No.24-101-AUL, Fire Alarm Upgrades, Austin, TX (the β€œProject”), in accordance with the terms, conditions, and requirements set forth in thisSolicitation.

This Solicitation is being issued to select a Contractor forthe Project under authority of Texas Government Code, Section 2155.144(b-2) andChapter 2269, Subchapter D.

Project Location, Summary, and Budget

Project Location: Austin State Supported Living Center

2203 W. 35th Street

Austin, TX

Project Summary: The scope of work includes, but is notlimited to, the following:

Installation of new fire alarm system for building 533 and732. Demolition of old system. Installation of new underground fiber lines from buildings to main security building and other Work indicated in the ContractDocuments.

For complete project information, refer to Attachment H-1of Exhibit C, Project Drawings.

Project Estimate: The approximate cost for construction of the Project is $280,000.00.

Mandatory Facility Site Visits and Walk Through Logistical Information

All Respondents are required to attend one Facility Site Visit as specified in Section 2.2 (Schedule of Events). Failure to attend in person will result in the disqualification of a Respondent. Proposals received from Respondents not listed on the attendance log will not be considered. Potential Respondents must be prepared to complete one of the scheduled tours; additional tours will not be offered.

Thursday, December 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time

Mandatory Site Visit no. 2:

Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. Central Time

Refer to Section 2.1 (Project Location, Summary, and Budget), of the RFP, for a physical address of Project location. See ExhibitH – Site Visit Parking and Staging Details for information on parking. Attendees will be met by an HHSC representative at Building 728.
