Electrical Permit - Repair
📋 Project Description
This application is for a stand-alone electrical permit to relocate one (1) existing 2¿ PVC electrical conduit that feeds a 150A subpanel serving an accessory building. The existing conduit is currently routed across the roof of the main structure and is damaged¿broken at multiple fittings and inadequately supported¿posing a potential hazard and requiring corrective action. The proposed scope includes intercepting the feeder at the existing service disconnect and rerouting the conduit along the exterior wall of the building to eliminate the roof run. A new weather-rated 12x12x6 pull box will be installed on the east end of the building (in place of the existing LB) to serve as a splice point using insulated Polaris-type connectors to reconnect feeder conductors and reenergize the subpanel. This relocation is necessary to remove the conduit from the roof and allow roofing contractors to perform membrane repairs and replacement work. This work is unrelated to the active QT building permit and per guidance from a City of Austin permit technician is to be submitted and reviewed as a separate stand-alone electrical repair permit.
