This motor will power the research vessel Laguna; a 40 ft trawler built in 1984. The vessel currently has a Twin Disc transmission (gear) Model MG-5114A, gear ratio of 1.92:1, prop shaft size of 2-3/8-inch, 8-inch exhaust, 2-1/4-inch raw water inlet, and a prop diameter of 30-inch x 26-inch pitch. Vessel is currently powered with a CAT 3406B inboard diesel engine.
