Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) is seeking bids to purchase one (1) inboard diesel motor as per the following specifications dated February 2026. This motor will power the research vessel Laguna; a 40 ft trawler built in 1984. The vessel currently has a Twin Disc transmission (gear) Model MG-5114A, gear ratio of 1.92:1, prop shaft size of 2-3/8-inch, 8-inch exhaust, 2-1/4-inch raw water inlet, and a prop diameter of 30-inch x 26-inch pitch. Vessel is currently powered with a CAT 3406B inboard diesel engine.
