CF-EMG Pipe Repair SCT

A saltwater pipeline is leaking in the vicinity of rearing pond #2 at Sea Center Texas. While attempting to fill ponds, hatchery staff noticed the ground starting to get saturated near the kettle of Pond 2 and water leaking from under the road near pond #3. Southern Gulf Solutions, is a reputable Civil Construction company and has completed complicated pond piping repairs at Sea Center in the past. They were able to successfully and safely make repairs after other local contractors were unsuccessful. It will not be possible to obtain accurate bids from multiple contractors, because the cost of repair will not be known until extensive excavation is done. Additionally, this repair is extremely time sensitive. If we continue to run the pumps, it can cause dangerous washouts and sink holes to occur, increasing the cost of repair, and jeopardizing other hatchery infrastructure, such as roadways, electrical conduit and pond liners. Not pumping will negatively impact fingerling production, making it challenging to meet agency goals.
