Welsh Crosswalk Improvements at AMCHS

The City of College Station invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the construction of three crosswalk improvements (two raised) crossing Welsh Avenue at AMCHS, including the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) to improve student safety.

Anticipated Mobilization date of May 26, 2026 with construction completion date of August 3, 2026.

Additional Notes for the Bid Documents:

RRFB crossing sign will be the 36” S1-1 in Fluorescent Yellow Green instead of W11-2 as depicted in the details on Sheets 9, 10, 11, and 20. All S1-1 signs to be Fluorescent Yellow Green.

All Existing crosswalk signage to be removed at proposed and removed crosswalks. Contractor to verify existing signs to be removed with owner.

A Pre-bid Meeting will be held at City Hall, 3rd Floor Conference Room 2, located at 1101 Texas Ave., College Station, Texas at 2:00 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. This meeting is not mandatory, but attendance is highly recommended.
