Cast Iron Replacement Remove and replacing cast iron piping from under the floor near the kitchen sink and under bathroom 1. Dig an opening in the yard where the cleanout is and uncover the cast iron pipe. Dig 3-4 feet under the house following where the cast iron line is buried. Homeowner will open wall in the closet behind bathroom 1 and we will put two 2X4s and an anchor to secure the new 4 cast iron vent we will install in the closet wall. We will repipe bathroom 1 under the house which includes flashing for the toilet and a new p-trap for the bathtub and probably new overflow and drain to the bathtub.
