Direct Access Drain System Repair The diagnostic revealed a broken 3¿ wye under the stairwell. To address this we will utilize specialized equipment to create a direct access entry hole in the utility room then tunnel approximately 7 feet under the stairwell to expose the damaged area. Once exposed the defective drains will be removed from the plumbing system and all debris will be hauled away. New DWV Schedule 40 PVC pipe and fittings will be installed in accordance with plumbing code. A static test will then be performed on the entire drain system to ensure there are no further leaks. If additional leaks are detected an extra pinpoint will be required to isolate the break(s) and a separate estimate will be presented for the necessary repairs. Should additional access be required or if unforeseen conditions such as solid rock roots or other obstructions are encountered a supplemental estimate will be provided to accommodate the extra time and materials needed to complete the job.
