2025/09/15/25 - ยฟFiesta El Gritoยฟ is a free non-alcoholic family event featuring live music mariachis ballet folklorico and the re-enactment of the El Grito presented by the Consul General de Mexico en Austin. We will also have community groups and artisans to display their services and products. The event is well attended with approximately 2500 people. Fiesta El Grito sponsored by Austin Saltillo Sister Cities Association the Mexican Consulate of Austin and the Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation celebrates Mexican Independence Day with a community festival together with music dance vendors and presentations. The event is open and free to all attendees of the Austin and surrounding communities. The event is also supported by the City of Austin and Downtown Austin Alliance.
