Hillcrest Road (From Panther Creek Parkway to PGA Parkway) is a completed new construction project in Frisco, Texas. The City of Frisco, the owner of record, built approximately 75,621 square feet of southbound lanes on Hillcrest Road between Panther Creek Parkway and PGA Parkway. The project cost $1,538,370 and was registered with TDLR in April 2024.

The scope of work involved constructing 33,423 square feet of southbound lanes from 150 feet south of Santiago Road and 42,198 square feet from Aragon Lane to 400 feet south of PGA Parkway. Freese and Nichols, Inc. served as the design firm of record. The work utilized public funds and took place on public land in Collin County.

Construction Timeline and Status

Construction began in May 2024, following plan review completion in April 2024. The scheduled build window was 486 days, which is longer than the 212-day median for similar projects in Collin County. The estimated cost is above the county median for new construction, while the $20 per square foot cost is below the county median of $120.

A final inspection passed in April 2026. TDLR closed the project file in August 2026, which marks the end of the accessibility review process for this construction.

A Facebook post by the City of Frisco described the widening of Hillcrest Road in northeast Frisco as nearly complete, referencing the final section of the project. Another update from the same account highlighted the expansion as complete, aligning with the official TDLR record that the project is closed.
