Deadman Island Restoration and Protection, Aransas Bay, Texas

The project is located at Deadman Island in Aransas Bay, Texas. Base work includes construction of 1,750 LF of graded riprap breakwater as shoreline protection, placement of approximately 13,300 CY (neatline) of imported sand fill material, and the installation of 6 daybeacons. Additive work includes two iterations of increasing the breakwater template, additional placement of approximately 1,600 CY (neatline) of imported sand fill material, placement of approximately 2,100 CY (neatline) of sandy loam fill material, placement of graded riprap to construct approximately 0.9 acres of submerged oyster reef, and installation of an additional daybeacon.
