"Energetic" Sculpture by Blessing Hancock

Install a public art sculpture in Sycamore Park. The installation sequence is digging and pouring for the foundation work at least twenty-one days prior to sculpture placement, as well as running any electrical provisions. Then bringing in a truck with the sculpture, fully preassembled, and a piece of lifting equipment to remove the sculpture from the truck and place it upon predetermined locations on the foundation. After anchors are fastened, and any segments added to complete the final assembly, lighting is addressed by chasing wires either from the power source or through conduit, and connected to any components of the electrical system. This involves bringing power to a power supply/transformer that will power the in ground lights. Timers are part of the lighting system, but they are mounted with an enclosure near the breaker box that is providing the 110v power. After a walk-through with stakeholders, a punch list is determined and any touch-up work is completed, then a maintenance manual (with as-built drawings, diagrams, and spec sheets for electrical components, etc.) for short and long term care is provided.
